Announcement on the Future of ForMission College: Integration into Moorlands College
After 45 years as a theological college – first as Springdale College and more recently as ForMission College – we are announcing a significant step forward in the college’s future.
ForMission College constantly reviews its options and discerns the best way to serve its students and the wider Christian community. Given declining student numbers and the increasing financial costs of running our courses, our Trustees agreed that the best way forward would be to identify a college with similar courses, values and vision to our own – and to explore ways that would enable ForMission’s distinctive focus on mission and ministry to continue.
ForMission’s programmes will be discontinued from September 2025 but we are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Moorlands College (www.moorlands.ac.uk), a college with vision and values that accord with our own.
Under this agreement, elements of the community, mission and legacy of ForMission will be integrated into the life and ministry of Moorlands, including:
- ForMission’s current students will be encouraged and helped to transfer to Moorlands;
- Moorlands will benefit from ForMission’s expertise in missional theology, its course material and resources; and
- Many of ForMission’s partner organisations will also be journeying to Moorlands as part of the developments.
We are confident that the result will be a positive student experience that builds on Moorlands’ strengths and infuses its programmes with an even stronger missional emphasis.

We hope that you will join us as we continue that journey into the Moorlands community, trusting that the Lord himself is preparing a place for us there. May He continue to call men and women to be equipped for Christian ministry and mission, for His glory.
