Senior Management Team

ForMission’s Senior Management Team is responsible for the effective running of the college’s operations.  It supports the Principal in fulfilling the college’s strategic objectives as outlined in the strategic development plan.

Principal

Chris is from the north-west of England and after graduating from university he worked in London as a management consultant before he and his wife were called to overseas mission. From 2007-2014 Chris and his family served in Moldova, working with rural churches and encouraging them in mission, evangelism, youth work and community transformation. Upon returning to England, Chris joined the faculty of Redcliffe College, teaching a range of topics including Global Missiological Issues; Leadership; Justice and Mission; and Cross-cultural Communication. He was responsible for the College’s quality management and accreditation. Chris is married with three children, and a member of an evangelical church in Gloucester. Chris has a master’s degree in Contemporary Issues in Global Mission and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Theology. He also has a master’s degree in Development Studies from Cambridge University and a bachelor’s degree in History from York University. His interests include holistic mission, cross-cultural church partnerships, Christian responses to globalisation, business as mission, cross-cultural leadership and approaches to short-term mission. Chris is a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). He is also a member of the Association of Bible College Principals.

Peter Cooper

Peter has an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from University of Wales, Bangor, and a master’s degree in Biblical Studies from King’s College London. He is fascinated by New Testament manuscripts and the transmission of the New Testament. Peter has worked for the Abernethy Trust in Scotland and as a church youth worker in Poole, Dorset. Prior to joining ForMission, he worked at Bournemouth University, then at the University of Birmingham. Peter is married with two young daughters. On the rare occasions that he has free time he likes mountain walking. Peter is an Accredited Member of the Association Higher Education Professionals (AMAHEP).
 
 
John Baxter-Brown

John Baxter-Brown
MA Programme Director

John Baxter-Brown, or JBB as he is usually known, works part-time as Senior Advisor in Evangelism for the Theological Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance, and lectures and tutors in mission and evangelism at universities and colleges. He has previously worked as Consultant to the World Council of Churches (on evangelism), World Vision International (on Church Partnerships) and Compassion International (on children and youth in mission). Throughout his ministry he has worked in evangelism, youth and children’s work, theological education and training, and ecumenism, at local church through to global levels. He has edited and authored numerous books, chapters, journals and articles. JBB gained his bachelors degree from London Bible College (now London School of Theology), and earned his MTh from Oxford University. JBB is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is married with two teenage daughters and two dogs and lives in Wiltshire.
